PCSWE September 2026

Prostate Cancer Support Windsor/Essex (PCSWE)

September 2026 Communique

Welcome back everyone. We hope you’ve had a great summer.  We’re looking forward to our fall program, starting with an excellent speaker for our September meeting.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 8th, 2026

Eric Leckie, PT, DPT

Eric Leckie completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Windsor before moving to Australia to complete his Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne.  He now specializes in men’s pelvic floor health, with a focus on urinary leakage, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and pre and post prostatectomy rehabilitation.  Alongside his clinical work, he built a YouTube channel with over 500,000 subscribers where he shares evidence-based education on men’s health and coaching men from around the world entirely online.

Eric’s goal is for this session to be educational, practical, and completely evidence based, with zero commercial focus.  He wants attendees to leave with a clear understanding of how the pelvic floor works and, more importantly, what they can start doing immediately to improve their symptoms (the right way).

Proposed theme for his presentation: No More Drips. Harder Erections. Stronger Pelvic Floor.  Eric plans to cover:

·      The anatomy and function of the two regions of the male pelvic floor.

·      How pelvic floor dysfunction contributes to urinary leakage, post void dribbling, erectile dysfunction, and other common concerns.

·      How to correctly identify and perform a pelvic floor contraction.

·      How many Kegel exercises to do and how to progress them appropriately.

·      Practical bladder emptying strategies to help reduce post void dribbling.

·      Common mistakes and simple, evidence based strategies men can use every day.

As always, the meeting starts at 7pm at the Hospice (6038 Empress St.).  You can also join remotely via ZOOM.

Daily emails and videos over 6 months will focus on various health promoting
components to reduce side effects and optimize your post treatment recovery,
including:

·       Physical Exercise – daily aerobic activity encouragement and a prescribed twice per week strength training workout developed by a Certified Exercise Physiologist

Physiotherapist to help you regain your urinary continence sooner
