Christine Maria Gross is Coordinator of Complementary Programs at The Hospice and has a private practice in Natural Health Care. Cancer free for 24 years, Christine’s goal is to support others in learning the pillars of good health and through a variety of techniques, workshops and individual consultations. A published author and public speaker, Christine holds professional memberships with the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America, the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists, the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario and is an Authorized Instructor of The Radiance Technique®.

 Stacey will be providing an update on the DaVinci Robot Program at Windsor Regional Hospital at our September 9th meeting.

Stacey’s Biography

In 1994, I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with my BScN.  My career began at a private oral surgery office from 1994-2001.  In 2001, I began working in the Operating Room at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.  During my years at Henry Ford Hospital my focus of practice was Urological Surgeries.  The Urologists at Henry Ford Hospital began working with the daVinci robot in 2001.  I was able to be part of the daVinci team.  In 2006, my role expanded to Registered Nurse First Assistant thus enabling me to be involved in over 4000 cases.  As part of a dedicated team member, I was able to travel around the world teaching and educating others regarding robotic surgeries.  The team travelled to countries such as Greece, Italy, India, Malaysia, France, South Korea and China performing surgeries and educating.  In June 2014, I became the Clinical Practice Manager at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus.  I have the opportunity to be part of the team working and developing the daVinci robotic program in Windsor.

Kathleen Montello, Lawyer, Montello Law Firm

Kathleen will be speaking about Estate Planning on November 11th.

Kathleen practices in the area of Corporate/Commercial, Real Estate and Estate Law. She is the principal of the Montello Law Firm.

She was educated at the University of Windsor where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and LLB.

Called to the bar in 2000, Kathleen is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. She has served on several boards and committees including as a Director of he Essex Law Association, President of the Windsor Executives Association, a Director of the Windsor Lawyers Feed the Hungry initiative  and Co-President of the Essex County Association of Women Lawyers.

Dennis Solet – Living with Cancer

CAN-CERVICE – Join Dennis for an evening of Inspiration and Hope. Despite a poor prognosis Dennis chose to embrace life to the fullest and set off on an amazing journey that has seen his life extend 11 years beyond the few months he was told was facing him. With 101 chemotherapy treatments and his own plan of family, music, good food, exercise, supplements and complementary Intravenous Vitamin C therapies Dennis approaches each and every day with an attitude of Love, Thankfulness and Gratitude.
The Hospice Wellness Band will provide live entertainment along with his presentation of “Living Life with Cancer.” The evening of Inspiration and entertainment comes free of charge, it just needs you for success.

Stephen Roberts – Journey Through Prostate Cancer

Stephen Roberts is a local lawyer who is a partner at the McTague Law Firm LLP. He specializes in representing employers on Workplace Safety and Insurance law matters. In 2007 at the age of 50 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He‎ was referred to Dr. Ed Matsumoto at the McMaster Institute of Urology at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton and had a radical prostatectomy performed by laparoscopic surgery on July 5, 2007. He is currently 7 years post surgery and cancer free. He enjoys a full and active life and ensures he gets the most out of every day.
