In 1994, I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with my BScN. My career began at a private oral surgery office from 1994-2001. In 2001, I began working in the Operating Room at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. During my years at Henry Ford Hospital my focus of practice was Urological Surgeries. The Urologists at Henry Ford Hospital began working with the daVinci robot in 2001. I was able to be part of the daVinci team. In 2006, my role expanded to Registered Nurse First Assistant thus enabling me to be involved in over 4000 cases. As part of a dedicated team member, I was able to travel around the world teaching and educating others regarding robotic surgeries. The team traveled to countries such as Greece, Italy, India, Malaysia, France, South Korea and China performing surgeries and educating. In June 2014, I became the Clinical Practice Manager at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus. I have the opportunity to be part of the team working and developing the daVinci robotic program in Windsor.
