Mindfulness meditation and cognitive behavioural therapy improves sexual health and intimacy after prostate cancer.

APRIL 26TH, 2022 | 2PM ET Bibiana Kemerer, Master’s student, will be speaking on her work on the INTROSPPECT study with Dr. Lori Brotto, which examines the use of mindfulness meditation and cognitive behavioural therapy for prostate cancer patients and their partners who are experiencing sexual dysfunction. 

Following the presentation will be an opportunity for Q&A followed by our usual small group support group meeting.

Partners in Prostate – Partner-Only Support Group

APRIL 27TH, 2022 | 9PM ET Prostate cancer is commonly referred to as a couple’s disease, due to its impact on not just prostate cancer patients, but their partners as well.

Join us at this partners-only meeting for a chance to share about your journey and learn from the experience of others going through this too. First time attendees will be given priority to share.

Quality of life after prostate cancer treatments: Urinary and sexual dysfunction following prostate cancer surgery and radiation therapy

APRIL 28TH, 2022 | 7:30 PM ET Prostate Cancer Support Montreal & West Island will be hosting a very interesting and relevant presentation this month. Dr. Mélanie Aubé-Peterkin will be giving a presentation on urinary and sexual dysfunction following prostate cancer treatment. 

Dr. Mélanie Aubé-Peterkin is an attending urologist at McGill University Health Centre & Lachine Hospital.

*NEW!* Advanced Prostate Cancer MAY 11TH, 2022 | 7PM ET

This group aims to meet the unique needs of advanced prostate cancer patients through the sharing of information, knowledge, and support. Advanced prostate cancer patients can include anyone:
with cancer that has spread (metastatic)
with a castrate-resistant cancer (no longer responds to first-line ADT)
with a high-risk or complex diagnosis
New participants will be given priority to discuss their situation. Partners and support people welcome.
